Norwich City sacks coach despite winning first Premier League

The English club Norwich City announced today, Saturday, the dismissal of German coach Daniel Farke from his position, after the young team occupied this season, the 20th and last place in the English standings.

And the English club revealed that it will announce at a later time the name of the new coach of the team.

The decision to dismiss Farke from his position as coach of the Norwich City team, despite the team achieving its first victory in the English Premier League earlier today, at the expense of its host Brentford 2-1 in the eleventh round of the competition.

The German manager led Norwich City in 208 games in the four and a half years since taking over, in the summer of 2017, and led the team to 14th place in the second division championship in his inaugural season in England.

In the 2018/19 season, Norwich City won the “Championship” title and promoted to the English Premier League.

After a season in the English Premier League, it was followed by the “Championship” League title again in the 2020/21 season, where the team collected a record number of points, 97 points, to ensure a return to the Premier League this season.

Norwich City occupies the twentieth and last place in the English Premier League with 5 points after 11 rounds, with a goal difference from Newcastle United, who is in the nineteenth place.
