Oman Coach: Qatar Excelled in Hosting Sporting Events

Branko Ivankovic, the Oman national team’s coach said that Qatar has excelled in hosting sporting events, especially with the bio-secure bubble.

Ivankovic is in Doha to participate in the double qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup and the Asian Cup China 2023, and the qualifiers for the Arab Cup Qatar 2021.

The coach said, “The potential in Qatar is very amazing and more than fantastic. Everything was perfect. The State of Qatar has harnessed its capabilities to support sports and achieved great success.”

Commenting on his team’s performance, Ivankovic said, “I am very happy with what we have achieved in Qatar. We reached the decisive qualifiers for the Qatar World Cup 2022 and the Asian Cup China 2023, and finally qualifying for the Arab Cup Qatar 2021.”

He added, “I closely followed the wonderful and ideal preparation for the Qatar World Cup 2022 during my stay in Doha, despite the pandemic conditions.”

He continued, “Qatar has challenged and overcame all circumstances. And it hosted many major tournaments. Its great success is thanks to the innovative bio-secure bubble system that provides protection for all participants.”

The Croatian coach explained that the reception was excellent at Hamad International Airport by facilitating all procedures and distinguished hospitality.

He also praised the training ground, saying: “It was more than wonderful. The stadium was amazing with cooling technology, the weather was great inside the stadium despite the heat outside. In a unique experience that won everyone’s admiration, the success was unparalleled without any notes. Qatar definitely excelled in hosting sporting events.”
