
Barcelona and Osasuna condemn the attack by Ultras Barca before the match
The Spanish club Osasuna issued an official statement before confronting Barcelona after the events that occurred by the fans, as the ultras fans of Barcelona carried out violent incidents in Pamplona, hours before the match that Barca will play against Osasuna, in which many were injured.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Sport”, in a bar frequented by Osasuna supporters, there was an attack in which three people were injured and had to be taken to Navarra University Hospital.
“Osasuna FC strongly condemns the violent incidents perpetrated by the ultras of FC Barcelona this afternoon in Pamplona,” Osasuna said in a statement.
He added: “Similarly, the entity expresses its solidarity with those affected, and the club endorses its total opposition to any indication of violence, racism, xenophobia and intolerance in sports and expresses its hope that tonight’s match will continue in an absolute normal way.”
For its part, Barcelona said: “The club regrets and condemns the acts of vandalism carried out by Ultras fans this afternoon in the city of Pamplona.”
He added: “President Juan Laporta contacted Osasuna FC President Luis Sabalza and affirmed his direct rejection of any act of violence inside and outside football stadiums, and reaffirms his commitment to combating violence.”
And he concluded: “In addition, the club again makes itself available to the security forces and all the agents involved, to put an end to those groups that systematically practice violence.”
