Palestinian Football Association denounces Barcelona’s friendly match

The Palestinian Football Association announced its refusal to host Barcelona’s friendly match in Occupied Jerusalem in August.

In a statement, it addressed FIFA and the European and Asian federations. With the aim of “working to prevent the match from taking place.

Jibril Rajoub who is the president of the Palestinian Football Association. He said that the match is to take place at the Teddy Stadium.

Moreover, Rajoub pointed out that the Israeli stadium was established on the ruins of the displaced Palestinian village of Al-Malha.

He stressed that Beitar Jerusalem is famous for its racism. And its violent and extremist fans.

Furthermore, he explained that the eastern part of Jerusalem is occupied Palestinian land. Thus, the federation has the right to object to any football activity that takes place in this part.

Accordingly, the Palestinian Association filed a complaint regarding the selection of the stadium of the match. And the places of the accompanying events.
