The Paris Saint-Germain director explains why the Hakim Ziyech deal faltered

Luis Campos, the sports advisor at Paris Saint-Germain, revealed the details of the failed deal of Moroccan striker Hakim Ziyech, Chelsea striker, whom the club tried to sign in the last days of the winter Mercato.

Hakim Ziyash asked to leave Chelsea in the middle of the season, and there were several clubs interested in obtaining his services, led by Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

Luis Campos explained that the club tried hard to sign the Moroccan star before the transfer market closed, but Chelsea refused to give him up in the end, although the London club supported its ranks with several players.

Luis Campos said in statements reported by the Spanish newspaper AS, “We did everything to sign Ziyash. There was a great desire on our part and on the part of the player, but not from Chelsea. There must be a desire to complete the deal from the three parties. Unfortunately, everything fell apart at the last minute.

The sports advisor at the Parisian club also confirmed that the administration is negotiating with Lionel Messi to renew his contract, which will expire after the end of the current season.

And he added, “At the present time, we are negotiating with Messi to renew the contract. I would like to keep him in the project, we cannot hide it, we are negotiating to achieve this goal and he will continue with us.”
