Preparing for the Gold Cup, Qatar Against El Salvador

Qatar national team continues their preparations for the CONCACAF Gold Cup held in the United States. The team will play against El Salvador in Aldo Drosina Stadium in the Croatian city, Pula, in preparation for the tournament from July to the 1st of August.

Qatar beat Croatia 3-1 in a friendly match ahead of CONCACAF.

The coach of the national team seeks to test the starting lineups that will compete in the coming tournament.

The Qatari squad departs to the United States to participate in the CONCACAF Gold Cup on the 5th of July. After the match against El Salvador.

The team will take part in a short training camp until the 9th of this month, a day before the official launch of the tournament on the 10th of the same month.

The game will open its campaign against Panama in Group D, on the 13th of July.

Then, they will compete against Grenada on the 17th of July. The team ends the first round competing against Honduras on the 20th of the same month.

Félix Sánchez announced the names of the players participating in the Gold Cup.

The list included:

“Meshaal Barsham, Saad Al-Sheeb, Yousef Hassan, Mohammed Waad. Pedro, Tarek Salman, Abdelkarim Hassan, Boualem Khoukhi, Ahmed Suhail. Bassam Al-Rawi, Homam Ahmed and Hassan Al-Haydos.”

“Abdullah Abdulsalam, Akram Afif, Yousuf Abdurisag, Musab Kheder, Assim Madibo. Karim Boudiaf, Ismail Mohamed, Abdulaziz Hatem, Almoez Ali. Mohammed Muntari, and Ahmed Alaa.”
