Qatar National Team Preparations for CONCACAF Gold Cup

Qatar national team starts their final training today, in preparation for the Gold Cup.

Yesterday, the Qatari squad arrived at Huston in Texas, USA, coming directly from Croatia.

Qatar national team finished their training camp in Croatia. After playing and winning two friendly matches against Croatia and El Salvador.

The Gold Cup tournament starts in Huston in the 13th of July. Qatar national team plays in Group D along with Panama, Honduras, and Grenada.

Led by the technical staff, the team is to start their first training today. This is considered the last step of preparation before the start of the tournament.

In fact, the team will play their first match against Panama on the 13th of July, their second match against Grenada on the 17th, and their final match against Honduras on the 21st of the same month.

During the team’s training in America, Félix Sánchez seeks to put the finishing touches on the formation that will compete in the tournament.

The coach is also searching for the best playing technique to guarantee winning and continuing the tournament.

Through participating in the Gold Cup, he seeks to achieve the greatest possible benefit by connecting with different football schools.

At the same time, the national team aims to leave its mark in the tournament, by playing a good game and competing strongly for the title.

The tournament matches will take place in BBVA stadium. The stadium has a capacity of 22,000 seats, and is minutes away from the Intercontinental Hotel, the residence of the national team.
