Qatar players strive hard to reach the Gold Cup final

Khouri Boualem and Hassan Al-Haydos, Qatar players, said they deserved to win and qualify for the semi-finals of the Gold Cup. After beating El Salvador by three goals to two.

In his comments after the match, Boualem said, “We played a great game in general. After we scored the third goal, there was some decline. This is a mistake, but the important thing is to win and qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament.”

In a related context, Al-Haydos, one of the Qatar players, expressed his happiness over the victory over El Salvador in the Gold Cup quarter-finals.

In his statements after the match, he said, “Praise be to God for achieving the victory and reaching the next round. Our start was strong in the match. And in the second half, some mistakes occurred.”

Al-Haydros continued: “But, thank God, we managed to win and qualify. Moreover, we dedicate this victory to the Qatari people and to all Arabs. And we are looking forward to going further.”

Also, about the upcoming match from the winner between America and Jamaica, he said, “We will wait. We will get to know the team that we will meet. In any case, it will be a tough and strong match and we will prepare for it in particular.”

In fact, the Qatari team reached the semi-finals of the Gold Cup after eliminating El Salvador 3-2.
