Qatar Post launches the 2nd edition of the World Cup 2022 stamps
Qatar Post has launched the second edition of the official postage stamps for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
The inauguration comes as part of a series of publications. In fact, they document the most prominent Qatari stations hosting the next edition of the World Cup.
The second set of postage stamps represents the eight World Cup stadiums that will host the World Cup matches.
In fact, it comes within the framework of cooperation between the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy. FIFA and Qatar Post. It is the official provider of postage stamps for the 2022 World Cup.
The stamps embody Qatar’s stadiums. They are Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium, Lusail Stadium. Ras Abu Aboud Stadium, Al Janoub Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium. Al Thumama Stadium, Education City Stadium, and Al Bayt Stadium.
Yasser Al-Jammal, head of the Operations Office at the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, said. “We are proud to see the designs of the 2022 World Cup stadiums documented in a set of postage stamps.”
He added, “Also, we are sure that fans and philatelic collectors will enjoy this collection. It celebrates the first World Cup stadiums in the Middle East and the Arab world.”
Furthermore, Faleh Al Nuaimi, Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Post, said. “We are happy to present to the world the 2022 World Cup stadium stamp collection.”
He added, “These are distinctive and unique architectural masterpieces. With their specifications and designs, they are inspired by our authentic Qatari heritage and rich culture.”
Moreover, he continued, “This edition documents the eight stadiums in a distinctive way. It highlights the aesthetic aspect and the fine architecture embodied in all aspects of these impressive architectural landmarks.”
Finally, he pointed out that the stamps are part of Qatar Post’s program to document all events. And also activities related to hosting the 2022 World Cup.
