Marca: Real Madrid refuses to sign Leao despite the four-way struggle to include him

Spanish press reports revealed that Real Madrid rejected the idea of signing Portuguese international winger Rafael Leao of Milan, despite the offers the player receives from other clubs.

According to the Spanish newspaper “Marca”, Real Madrid rejected the idea of signing Leao despite his strong performances in the World Cup currently being held in Qatar.

The newspaper pointed out that several clubs are battling to include the player, most notably the quartet Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, in addition to Paris Saint-Germain.

The player’s performances at the World Cup have also impressed many parties, especially as Chelsea were already willing to pay €100m over the summer.

Agent Jorge Mendes has offered him to Florentino Perez more than once, given that Merengue Vinicius Jr. has a left wing, and the 22-year-old is boosting his reputation for Brazil at the World Cup.

He is still in talks to extend his contract with Milan if they manage to reach 9 million euros per season with bonuses and performance-related additions included.
