Rodri: Manchester City is my second family..and I thank Pep Guardiola

Rodri, the Manchester City midfielder, believes that the Citizens are his second family, after renewing his contract at the “Etihad” stadium for a period of 3 years until June 2027.

“Manchester City is my second family,” Rodri said in comments published on the club’s official website. “I always thought from the first day I came here that this is my home.”

He added, “Of course you need to adapt to a new country and a new club but in my opinion, I was very happy to be here at City. I think it’s my second family and I feel like I’m playing every day at the Etihad Stadium.”

He continued, “I am very proud of what I have done in the past three years here and I want to change history with this club. I think we have done amazing things in the past three years and we want more so I am very happy to continue here.”

He added, “I have improved a lot as a player, and I want to thank Pep Guardiola and all the Man City members for their help. They are fully committed to helping me become the best player I can be, and I appreciate their hard work.”

He continued, “I feel that Man City offers me the best chance to win titles and that is why I am very happy to be here for a longer period of time.”

Rodri ended his comments by saying, “I’m still 26, and I’m still far from retiring. I’ve reached a very good level and I think I have a lot to improve. That’s the idea. I’m the kind of player who always wants to be better and better.”
