Ronaldo: We could have beat South Korea.. and are ready for the next match

 

 

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo expressed his dissatisfaction with the defeat suffered by his country against South Korea 2-1, in the meeting that brought them together on Friday evening, at the “Education City” stadium, in the third and final round of group matches. H, in the group stage of the tournament.

 

Ronaldo said during his statements after the meeting: “We must be more enthusiastic despite everything that happened, and we are ready for the next match, but we achieved the lead in the group, but we can win. It was a tied and equal match.”

 

Regarding the quarrel with the South Korean player after the meeting, he said: “What happened is that before I left, the Korean player asked me to leave quickly. I told him to shut up .. He has no strength, he must be there. Do not stir up controversy.”

 

He added: “It’s the heat of the moment in the game and no matter what happens, it stays on the pitch. We have to unite, we’re in the next stage. Every Portuguese must be confident because we really want you to succeed.”

 

Portugal opened the scoring early, just 6 minutes into the game, through Ricardo Horta, after Diogo Dalot’s cross.

 

South Korea ranked second in Group D, with 4 points, ahead of Uruguay, which is equal in number of points and goal difference, and Portugal leads the group with 6 points.
