Saudi Arabia Claims Arab Cup U-20 Title

Saudi Arabia claims the Arab Cup U-20 title after beating Algeria 2-1.

The match was held on Tuesday, in Air Defense Stadium in Egypt.

The Saudi U-20 team started with a line-up consisting of:

-Goalkeeper: Usamh Al Mermsh

-Defensive line: Sulaiman Hazazi – Mohammed Al Doseri – Mohamed Suleiman – Abdulaziz Al Farj.

-Center: Abdulmalik Al-Ayiri – Fassil Al-Subayni – Abdullah Al-Zaid – Mosab AlJuwair – Abdulaziz Al Aliwa.

-Offensive line: Abdullah Radif.

On the other hand, Algeria’s line-up was:

-Goalkeeper: Nabil Ouennas.

-Defensive line: Rayan Dehilis – Salah Bendriss – Abderrazak Mohra – Mehdi Touenti.

-Center: Affari Chekal – Yacine Titraoui – Adam Degwy – Younes Aitamer – Adil Boulbina.

-Offensive line: Issam Bouaoune.

Saudi Wins the Title of Arab Cup U-20

Mosab AlJuwair scored for the Saudi team in the 3rd minute, and Mohammed Baker in the 77th minute.

However, Abdullah Radif of the Saudi team missed a penalty kick in the 18th minute.

Adil Boulbina was the one to score for Algeria in the 54th minute.

As a result, the Saudi U-20 team, led by Saleh Al Mohammadi, won the title.

In fact, this is the second time for Saudi Arabia to win the title, after winning it in 1985.

The president of the Arab Federation, prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal Al Saud, congratulated the Saudi team on winning the Arab Cup U-20 in its seventh edition.

Moreover, Prince Abdulaziz expressed his happiness with the “success of the tournament in all respects and the acquisition of new experiences by all participating Arab teams’ players.

He also thanked the Minister of Youth and Sports in Egypt, Ashraf Sobhy, and the Egyptian Football Association and its president, Ahmed Megahed.

He thanked them for all the services and support they offered to the Arab Federation and the committee organizing the tournament.
