Saudi Clubs Racing over a Crystal Palace Player
French reports revealed that several Saudi clubs are trying to add the French player, Mamadou Sakho, to their teams. Sakho’s contract ended on June 30 at Crystal Palace. The player did not renew his contract and has the intention of playing in new stadiums.
According to the French newspaper, Tutto Mercato, there is a severe conflict between Al-Nassr club and Al Ahly club over Sakho, with one of the offers reaching €10 million annually.
Sakho has played for Crystal Palace since 2017, after moving from Liverpool. He is currently thinking about his future destination.
Mamadou Sakho is seeking a new challenge. He is going over the offers he got, including the Saudi offers, to choose the most suitable for him in the coming period.
The 31-year-old player is considered one of the best French players in the English Premier League. He started his career with Paris Saint-Germain and then moved to Liverpool in 2013.
Mamadou Sakho was loaned from Liverpool to Crystal Palace in 2017, just to shine and get a permanent contract with the team. He stayed with the team till the end of the current season, and he’s now thinking of a new experience.
Sakho can play as a defender and left-back. He played with France’s national team in 29 international matches. The most recent was in 2018 against Uruguay in an exhibition game.
