Negative smear of Senegal players before facing Egypt in the final of the African Nations
The Senegalese Football Association announced today, Friday, that there were no infections with the Corona virus inside the team, 48 hours before facing the Egyptian national team, in the final match of the African Nations Cup 2021, which will be hosted by Cameroon.
Senegal qualified for the final match in the current African Nations, after beating Burkina Faso 3-1, while our Egyptian national team arrived after beating Cameroon, the hosts, on penalties, 3-1, after the end of the original and extra time in a goalless draw.
Today, Friday, the Senegalese Federation issued an official statement confirming that all the smears of the team’s players, which were conducted today, Friday, were negative, 48 hours before facing Egypt in the final of the African Nations Cup 2021.
The Teranga Lions reached the final of the African Nations for the second time in a row and the third in its history, as the Senegalese team lost both times against Cameroon on penalties, 3-2 and against Algeria in the last edition with a clean goal.
Egypt will play the final match for the tenth time in its history, in the African Cup of Nations next Sunday evening against its Senegalese counterpart.
