Sadio Mane leads Senegal to a fatal victory against Rwanda with a goal in the 98th minute

 

Senegal snatched a fatal victory against its host Rwanda in the match that was held between them on Tuesday evening at the Abdoulaye Wade Stadium, as part of the second round of Group Twelve in the qualifiers for the 2023 African Nations finals in Cote d’Ivoire.

Senegal’s goal came in the 98th minute of the match from a penalty kick, to decide the Teranga Lions as a result of the match in stoppage time.

With this result, Senegal continued to lead the group standings with 6 points collected from winning the full mark, not receiving any losses, scoring 4 goals and receiving a goal.

While the Rwandan national team was temporarily in third place in the group standings with one point collected from a tie in a match and a loss, and scored a goal and received two goals.

The Senegal team had achieved a great victory over its guest, Benin, by three goals against a goal, in the match that brought them together in the first round of Group Twelve matches, in the qualifiers for the 2023 African Nations finals in Cote d’Ivoire.

Reds star Sadio Mane scored 33 goals in a black Teranga shirt in 91 matches, then Henri Camara 29 goals in 99 matches, then El Hadj Diouf 24 goals in 70 matches.

Sadio Mane became Senegal’s all-time top scorer with 33 goals, surpassing the previous record set by Henri Camara with 29 goals.
