Senegal qualifies to meet Burkina Faso in the semi-finals with a hat-trick against Equatorial Guinea

Senegal qualified for the semi-finals of the African Nations, after achieving an easy victory over its counterpart Equatorial Guinea, by three goals to one, in the confrontation that brought them together this evening, Sunday, at the “Ahmedou Ahidjo” stadium, at the end of the quarter-final matches of the African Nations Cup. The African Nations Cup is currently being held in Cameroon 2021 and will continue until February 6.

Famara Diedhiou of Senegal scored the first goal in the 28th minute of the match.

Yannick Boyla equalized for Equatorial Guinea in the 57th minute of the match.

Cheikhou Kouyate scored the second goal for Senegal after his participation as a substitute in the 68th minute of the match.

Ismaila Sarr concluded the Senegal hat-trick in the 79th minute of the match.

Senegal played the match with the following formation: Goalkeeper: Edward Mendy / Defense line: Bona Sarr – Kalidou Koulibaly – Abdo Diallo – Salio Sis / Midfield: Nambales Mendy – Bab Gayi – Idrissa Gaye / Forward line: Boulay Dia – Sadio Mane – Famara Dido.
