Sergio Gomez: Joining City is a dream come true.. Guardiola is the most distinguished coach

Manchester City’s newcomer, Sergio Gomez, expressed his happiness to join the English team from Anderlecht in a new deal to support the first team football during the current summer transfers.

“I am very proud and happy to join Manchester City,” Gomez said in his statements to the official Manchester City website, adding, “Being part of this club is a dream come true for me, and it is something that any young player aspires to.”

“City are the best team in England and with Pep Guardiola I have the opportunity to learn and develop under the most distinguished coach in world football.”

“The number of titles City have won over the past few years is unbelievable, and the style of football that the team plays under Pep’s leadership is the most exciting in Europe.”

“Playing for Pep and his assistants and mentoring them will be very special, I’ve heard a lot about the City fans and how passionate they are, so I can’t wait to get started and try to help the club achieve more.”

In an official statement, the English club confirmed the inclusion of Anderlecht defender Sergio Gomez, 21, who played 49 games last season with Anderlecht in all the competitions in which the Belgian team competed.

Gomez made his start at Barcelona before he left the Catalan club and joined Borussia Dortmund in 2018. He was on loan at Huesca for two seasons before joining Anderlecht in 2021.
