Simeone leaves Atletico Madrid at the end of the current season

Argentine coach Diego Simeone, coach of Atletico Madrid, decided his future once and for all on the technical leadership of Roji Blancos.

Diego Simeone took over Atletico Madrid in 2011, and is currently linked to a contract that runs until June 2024.

According to what was published by the Spanish “El Sheringito” program, Diego Simeone will leave Atleti training at the end of the current season 2022-2023, despite the extension of his contract until June 024.

And the program added that the Argentine coach, Simeone, notified Gil Marin, the sports director of Atletico Madrid, that he would leave the team at the end of the current season.

Argentine Diego Simeone took charge of Atletico Madrid in 603 matches in various competitions, winning 353 matches, drawing 140 and losing 110 matches.

Simeone won 8 titles with Atletico Madrid, two titles in each of the Spanish League, the European League and the European Super Cup, and one title in the King’s Cup and the Spanish Super Cup, and he reached the final round of the Champions League competition in the 2014-2016 season, but he got the runner-up.
