Chelsea sign American goalkeeper Slonina for 6 seasons
English club Chelsea announced today, Tuesday evening, the official contract of American goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina during the current summer transfer period from Chicago Fire Club.
In a statement, Chelsea said on its official website: “Chelsea signs American goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina from Chicago Fire, where the 18-year-old has signed a 6-year contract.”
A Chelsea statement added: “Slonina will return on loan to complete his season with Chicago Fire before joining us at the beginning of 2023.”
For his part, US goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina said in his statements after joining Chelsea, “I was honored to join such a great club with a great history.”
He added: “It is a great honor to wear the shirt of the best club in London. Thank you to all the fans for the warm welcome. I can’t wait to start with you.”
Chelsea had announced the official signing of the young star, Karne Chukwemica, Aston Villa midfielder, in the current summer transfer market.
According to a statement issued by Chelsea FC on its official website: “Chelsea has reached an agreement with Aston Villa regarding the permanent transfer of the player Carney Chukwemica.”
A Chelsea statement added: “The young player has been given permission to travel to London to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical.”
