Spalletti: Happy not to fall for Paris Saint-Germain… and the confrontation with Frankfurt is difficult

Luciano Spalletti, coach of the Italian club Napoli, commented on the draw for his team Napoli in the round of 16 of the European Champions League, which landed him in a match against Eintracht Frankfurt, Germany, as the Italian coach stressed that he is happy to avoid facing a team like Paris Saint-Germain.

Spalletti said in statements published by “Football Italia”, “All the draw was difficult at this level, although we are happy to avoid Paris Saint-Germain, Eintracht Frankfurt is still holding the European League, which is the second largest competition in Europe, and they are in progress as a team.” It certainly won’t be easy.”

Napoli have faced Eintracht Frankfurt twice in the past, in 1994 in the UEFA Cup Round of 16, and the South side lost the first leg in Germany 1-0 and also suffered a 1-0 defeat in the second leg at home, and they hope to take revenge in the Champions League this season.

Eintracht Frankfurt is currently fifth in the Bundesliga table after 13 matches, with 23 points from seven wins and two draws.

On the other hand, Napoli leads the Italian league standings this season with 35 points, a full 6 points behind runner-up Milan.
