Technological innovation in the World Cup Qatar 2022

Nasser Al-Khater, CEO of the World Cup Qatar 2022, stressed that technological innovation is one of the core values ​​of the 2022 World Cup.

Regarding the cooling technology in stadiums. It was initially implemented in 2008. Al-Khater explained, “We are now in the second and third generation of this technology, which has become much more effective.”

He asserted that it will be a useful tool and means for countries near the equator that host major sporting and entertainment events.

Furthermore, Abdul Rahman Al Dhaiban is the general manager of Google Cloud for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa. He said that the Qatar 2022 World Cup will have a significant impact on data and technological innovation. As, people will get personal data or information. This is what the Google Cloud Center will provide.

He added, “We take the 2022 World Cup very seriously. And Qatar will officially host the first Google Cloud service center in the region.”

Al-Dhuhaiban explained that many of the events will collect information and data. Thus, this data will help taking many decisions.

He pointed out that they take this issue very seriously. He said, “We believe that it is about data and providing the latest technologies accompanied by artificial intelligence.”
