The Bosnian national team reveals the extent of Dzeko’s injury after his injury in the Derby of Rage
The Bosnia and Herzegovina national team announced that Inter Milan star Edin Dzeko suffered a muscle injury, during the Derby of Rage against Milan, which ended in a 1-1 draw yesterday, so he underwent treatment today.
Dzeko was substituted in the second half of last night’s Fury Derby; due to a suspected muscle injury.
After he was included in the list of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team for the upcoming matches against Finland, Ukraine and the United States, but he could not train with his compatriots today.
An official statement from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina stated:
“The MRI confirmed some degree of damage to the hamstring muscles, so Dzeko underwent a physiotherapy programme.”
Dzeko has played a key role at Inter this season, scoring eight goals in 16 matches across all competitions, and scoring seven goals in Serie A, the same as last season with Roma.
Nicolo Parilla and Alessandro Bastoni suffered from muscle problems during the derby, and both players did not train with Italy today either.
