The Leagues Forum informs FIFA and Caf of its refusal to join the African Nations Professionals before January 3

The World Leagues Forum sent two letters to the International Football Associations “FIFA” and its African counterpart “K” informing them of its refusal to join professional players in European and international leagues.

And this is before the third of next January to participate in the African Cup of Nations to be held in Cameroon from January 9 to February 6 next.

The letter stated that the clubs would not release the players in the African Nations Cup until January 3, and stated: “We will also consider that any penalty imposed by FIFA will be considered offensive and void.”

The letter stressed that the clubs playing matches during the current period will not release their players until January 3, and FIFA had stipulated that December 27 be the date for players to join the teams of their countries.

The World Leagues Forum consists of 41 federations and has held its meetings since 2015 until now in FIFA annually.

In a related context, Patrice Motsepe, president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), confirmed that no one would be allowed to participate in the African Nations Cup.

Also, not to enter the stadiums hosting the matches without undergoing the “BCR” test to protect the fans who will attend the continental competition events.
