The Saudi Crown Prince watches BEIN SPORTS

People on social media circulated a picture of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman watching the Euro 2020 final.

The photo showed bin Salman accompanied by the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq. They were watching the final between Italy and England. It is exclusively on BEIN SPORTS channels.

Photographer Bandar Al-Jaloud published the photo. He commented on it, “His Highness, the Saudi Crown Prince and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq during watching the Euro 2020 final in NEOM this evening.”

The Italian national team won the EURO after winning the penalty shootout over England. The normal and extra time ended with a 1-1 draw.

Earlier, the General Authority for Competition in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia decided to cancel the license of the Qatari beIN Sports channels network in the Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia has also received criticism for standing behind the “beoutQ” channels. It was a sports piracy that erupted few weeks after the outbreak of the Gulf crisis.

On June 5, 2017, Saudi Arabia, along with the UAE, Bahrain, and Egypt, severed relations with Qatar. They also imposed a land, air, and sea closure measures against it.

Two months after this unprecedented crisis in the history of the Gulf Cooperation Council, anonymous channels called “beoutQ” appeared.

The channel began transmitting all sports events and tournaments that the Qatari beIN Sports channels have exclusive rights to broadcast. And then it expanded by broadcasting its entertainment content as well.
