The Saudi Professional League to Stop 7 Times Next Season
According to a Saudi report, the Saudi Professional League will stop seven times next season.
The Saudi Professional League is to stop seven times the next season 2021/22, according to Arriyadiyah, a Saudi newspaper.
The stopping days include five “FIFA” days, FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021, and the last ten days of Ramadan.
Arriyadiyah reported that tomorrow, the League Competition Committee will discuss the clubs of next season’s Professional League schedule.
The newspaper mentioned that the committee called for an “online” meeting with the clubs. To share its proposals and present the draft calendar again.
Arriyadiyah added that the committee will meet with Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr, and Al-Ittihad to discuss and coordinate the matches of these three. Both Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr will participate in the AFC Champions League and Al-Ittihad in the Arab Club Champions Cup finals.
The League Competition Committee has set the 12th of August as a tentative date for the start of the 2021/22 season, according to Saudi reports.
The reports noted that there will be three rounds of the League to be played before a 10-day stop due to the Saudi national team camp.
Al-Hilal won the Saudi Professional League Cup last season 2021/22.
The Arab Club Champions Cup finals between Al-Ittihad and Raja Club Athletic will be on the 21st of August, nine days after the start of the Saudi League.
