Tuchel’s comments after Liverpool’s draw with Chelsea

Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel praised the level of players against Liverpool in the confrontation that ended in a 1-1 draw, on Saturday evening.

This is at Anfield, the Reds’ stronghold, in the lead in the third round of the Premier League for the current season 2021-2022.

Speaking after the match, Tuchel said:

“The players put in a great performance against Liverpool and at Anfield. It’s not easy to play against Liverpool with this crowd and with ten players.”

Tokhil added:

“We played a good match in the first half, we were stronger and we scored a goal and we had the opportunity to score a second goal through Mount.”

Tuchel continued:

“In the second half we had many chances, but we suffered from the red card and the intensity of the Liverpool players, but the team defended wonderfully until the last moment.”

Tuchel said of James’ dismissal:

“Red card – I’m not sure anymore if that’s the law or not you have to accept the decision he might have changed his mind if he had seen the motion picture.”

Regarding the replacement of midfielder N’Golo Kante and the participation of Kovacic in his place, the Chelsea coach explained:

“We had to change him in the second half.”

With this result, Liverpool raises its score to 7 points to occupy second place with Chelsea, which has the same points balance.

And the 6 goals scored and the goals conceded by each of them (a goal) comes with the Reds and the Blues. The goal difference is only behind the leaders of West Ham with the same points balance.
