Vaccination is mandatory for fans to attend the World Cup in Qatar
Qatari Prime Minister, and Minister of Interior, Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani affirmed Qatar’s readiness to host the World Cup Qatar 2022 for the first time in the Middle East, indicating that vaccination is mandatory for fans to attend.
Al Thani asserted that the infrastructure for the World Cup is ready in all respects. And it is at the highest levels of a transportation network and various services. That is including accommodation and health care.
Vaccination Is Mandatory
On the public attendance of the World Cup, he said, “The State of Qatar will not allow the fans to enter the stadiums without receiving a full vaccination against the virus.”
He added, “We are currently negotiating with a company to provide one million vaccines against the Coronavirus. In order to vaccinate and vaccinate some of those coming to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.”
Al-Thani continued, “Our main goal in vaccinating some of those coming to Qatar to attend the World Cup. It is to protect the public health of citizens and residents.”
He revealed that according to the plans of the National Program for Vaccination against the Corona Virus in Qatar. Approximately 72 percent of all eligible recipients will have received at least one dose of the vaccine this week.
On Qatar’s preparations to host the 2022 World Cup. The Prime Minister stressed that they are progressing well and at an accelerated and distinguished pace.
He stressed, “The repercussions of the Coronavirus affected us a little bit at the beginning. But, preparing early helped us facilitate ensuring the arrival of the required materials in coordination with the companies working on the World Cup projects.”
He said that Qatar is ready to host the tournament in all respects. “Whether completing the construction and equipment of stadiums and infrastructure related to the World Cup projects, which are being worked on at very excellent rates.”
He also indicated that a large number of World Cup stadiums completed and are already ready to host matches.
He added, “Lusail Stadium is the main stadium that will witness the final match of the World Cup on December 18, 2022. It is 90% ready. And the Arab Cup 2021 will be next December. God willing, the capabilities of the State of Qatar in hosting major tournaments will appear a year before the start of the World Cup.”
