World Cup Qatar 2022 Stadiums are ready
Mr. Nasser Al-Khater, CEO of the World Cup Qatar 2022, stressed that the upcoming World Cup will unite the region. And will be written in the history of the world with letters of pride.
Al-Khater expressed his aspiration for Qatar to host an exceptional tournament. It organizes the event next year for the first time in the Arab world and the Middle East.
500 days before the tournament, he said, “We are on the verge of the championship. Only 500 days separate us from the start whistle.”
Al-Khater completed, “Since more than 10 years ago, we have been preparing for this moment. It will witness the organization of the largest sports tournament in the history of the Middle East.”
Al-Khater pointed out that the next World Cup is the most closely spaced in the modern history of the World Cup tournaments.
He explained that all eight stadiums are not more than 50 km away from the city center of Doha. This means short travel times via the Doha Metro or the modern road network.
This feature will give fans, as well as players and administrators, the possibility of residing in one place throughout the tournament. And that will make the next World Cup an unprecedented football festival.
Al-Khater added, “The proximity of distances is one of the most important advantages of the upcoming World Cup in Qatar. This feature will save fans the trouble of traveling from one city to another to support their teams. This will greatly reduce the cost. And will allow them enough time to acclimatize to the atmosphere and enjoy all that Qatar has to offer.”
